A burn injury is a different experience for each individual. Post burn care is essential, there maybe minor adjustments to everyday routines to protect the new skin as it matures, and appropriate follow up should be organised. These relate to skin care, sun protection, scar and itch management and the resumption of normal activities such as work and play. Additionally, the need for psychological support should be identified and followed up as necessary.
