Choosing a dressing for a minor burn wound can be difficult, there are so many products available that are suitable, yet there is yet no scientific evidence regarding the best dressings for these injuries. This section of the website provides some direction regarding burn dressing selection. Knowledge of the different properties of the various dressings will facilitate good decision making. The first step is to determine whether you need a Standard Dressing or a Silver/Antimicrobial Dressing. Once this has been done, you can then select which Standard or Silver/Antimicrobial Dressing based on the moisture content of the wound.
